Dissertation time!

For clarity my dissertation is complete, this is here for posterity!

Hello! I am a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. candidate working on my dissertation, which covers experiences of social isolation, especially among Asian and Asian-American populations. The purpose of the study is to help clarify how people experience social isolation, with the eventual goal of using the data to further treatment and assessment. The study itself is fairly simple, all it requires is a relatively short amount of time to complete some surveys online. No identifying data is collected, you will be asked about isolation experiences, emotions, and physical sensations relating to times of isolation. I appreciate your time and consideration. If there are questions, I can answer them! Feel free to spread this around or suggest places to do so, we’re trying to collect a broad sample, while focusing on Asian/Asian-American populations in particular. Below is the copy-paste of the invitation.

Hello,

My name is William Nation, I am a Doctoral Candidate at Texas Woman’s University. My dissertation research is currently ongoing, covering people’s experiences of social isolation. I am currently seeking participants for this study, and would like to ask for your participation. Participation in this psychological research is totally voluntary, and may be ended at any time. Additionally, this study is being performed online, so there is a potential risk of loss of confidentiality in all email, downloading, electronic meetings, and internet transactions. If you are interested in participating, I can direct you to a link (the link below will direct you) to the study, which you may take online at your own leisure.

Thanks so much for your time!
